Greenhouse Sydney is coming

WORK began yesterday on construction of Greenhouse Sydney, a pop-up version of the eco-friendly bar-restaurant that has taken Perth by storm and made a star of young chef Matt Stone (he who challenged Neil Perry on television's Iron Chef).

Greenhouse will have a 10-week season at Circular Quay as guest of the City of Sydney and Stone will head the kitchen for the first month before handing over to former Attica staffer Cameron Payne. The hay bale construction will be powered by a bio-diesel generator using recycled kitchen oils for fuel. It opens early next month.
