Dance till you light up the floor

A sustainable dance club that uses dancing to run lights and sweat to flush toilets is on the cards for the Netherlands next year. Prototypes of an energy-generating dance floor have been tested at various events, including Live Earth, earlier this year. As well as using technologies such as recycled grey water, renewable materials, wind turbines and solar panels, the Sustainable Dance Club aims to rethink clubbing to minimise its environmental impact.

I had a similar discussion a few months ago with my friend Pat from NZ, she was wondering why all energy used at gyms wasn't captured to cover for the electricity of the airco, light, TV....
