Sprinkler use may be restricted this summer to one day a week after Perth's second driest winter on record.
When Water Minister Graham Jacobs decided not to extend the three-month winter ban into September, he said he would wait until after this month to decide on further watering restrictions.
Last summer the restriction on sprinklers to two days a week saw 2.5 gigalitres of water saved as WA experienced its hottest and driest summer on record.
The winter ban, which finished yesterday, saved 2Gl of water - the equivalent of two Subiaco Ovals filled to the top of the goalposts.
