WA's largest energy provider Synergy says households could save hundreds of dollars if they invested in energy efficient ways of living. An Australia Bureau of Statistics report released today has revealed more West Australian households are buying high energy use appliances such as air conditioners and plasma tvs.
This is on the back of an Australian Conservation Federation study that ranked Perth the least sustainable of Australia's 20 largest cities.
Synergy spokesman Andrew Gaspar hopes higher tariffs will change the mindset of WA users.
